The club bought our cottage as a ruin in the1960s and it has since been rebuilt, reroofed and extended to provide warm and comfortable accommodation for members, guests and outside bookings. Whitewalls can sleep up to 16 people and has 2 bunkrooms, central heating, a well-equipped kitchen, common room, library, toilets, showers and changing area, and arguably the best view from any caving hut in the country. Outside we have a garden which can be used for camping, BBQ and outdoor socialising. Cars can be parked along the tramroad outside.
The Llangattock caves are all within easy walking distance from the cottage, including the major systems of Agen Allwedd and Daren Cilau. Other popular caves such as Craig a Ffynnon, Ogof Draenen, Llanelly Quarry Pot and the smaller caves of the Clydach Gorge are only a short drive away.
Whitewalls is now fitted with a new electronic lock system - click here for more information.
