Llygad Llwchwr 1 & 2 April 2022

Llygad Llwchwr 1 and 2 are both very worthwhile and interesting caves, but lesser visited than many other caves due to their remote location. However the travelling distance didn’t deter the CSS team.

Despite reports to the contrary, the Llygad Llwchwr 2 entrance was open and no longer blocked by a collapse, so we spent an hour in there before continuing on to Llygad Llwchwr 1. As is customary in this cave, we got a little disoriented trying to find all 4 river chambers, but that's all part of the fun. As is exiting the cave through the eyehole about 3 metres above ground level.

See CSS Newsletter Vol. 64, Nos. 4-6 for a full report from this trip.
