Yorkshire Week May 2022

A week of potholing exploits and a sheep rescue in the Yorkshire Dales.

A whole week of caving activity in the Yorkshire Dales based at the YSS hut. This was a very popular club meet, with a good mix of caves explored and one sheep rescued. At least one caving trip was undertaken each day, some with multiple routes rigged. Caves visited were Magnetometer Pot, Lancaster Hole/Wilf Taylor’s, It’s a Cracker/Notts 2, Notts Pot, Car Pot, Juniper Gulf, Short Drop Cave/Gavel Pot, Death’s Head/Big Meanie, Pool Sink, Swinsto Hole and Scanty Lardos Pot. Some members also went walking and everyone enjoyed the choice of beer and hearty food at the Helwith Bridge Inn.

See CSS Newsletter Vol. 64, Nos. 4-6 for trip reports from all the caving trips enjoyed during the week.
